Gardening Club: Vita Sackville West and Sissinghurst. 8th March 2023
On Wednesday 8th March, James Bolton will give his talk on Vita Sackville West and Sissinghurst. It is the first time that James has been to the Aynho Gardening Club and I am sure his talk will be very interesting – James has a garden design business, lectures extensively on garden history and runs ‘Border Lines’ with tours to the finest gardens and houses in Britain, Europe and South Africa. The talk will start at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. If you would like to bring a guest to a talk, please do, the cost is £3 for the evening.
A Reminder: This time last year we had a talk by the Head Gardener, Dan Winter, about Evenley Wood Gardens. It is a lovely place to visit at this time of the year as all the spring flowers come into bloom. Over the winter there has been a great deal of clearing and re-planting due to the ‘ash-die back’ – an ever-changing scene.

The two Photographic Classes for the Flower and Vegetable Show (Saturday 19th August) will be: Spring and The Coronation.
Planning ahead……….
For the trip to Bourton House, Bourton-on-the-Hill on Wednesday 13th September. The cost will be £25 and will include an afternoon stop-off at Batsford Aboretum Plant Nursery/Cafe on return journey. There will be 32 places on the bus so it will be ‘first come first served’.
