Welcome to the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) and Aynho WI. The NFWI is the largest national organisation for women in the UK with 230,000 members in England, Wales and the Islands. The ideals of the Women’s Institute of truth, justice, tolerance and fellowship are as strong and important now in the 21st century as they were at the birth of the WI in 1915. The WI exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills. Through the WI, members are encouraged to pursue a wide range of interests. Activities are driven by our members and their interests and develop and evolve with time. There are also many opportunities for activities from Northamptonshire WI. Denman College offers courses from music to public speaking within easy reach.
Why not come along with a friend or two on a Wednesday and see what goes on. Here in Aynho we have put together the following varied programme. We also organize monthly walks, ten pin bowling trips and visits to Northampton College for lunch & beauty session outings.
Meetings 3rd Wednesday at 7:30pm In the Village Hall.
