Farewell Simon and Heather
Sunday October 21st was Rev Simon Dommett’s last Service at Aynho church and in the Astwick Vale Benefice, which also includes Croughton, Evenley, Hinton with Steane and Farthinghoe. Over one hundred people attended followed by lunch in the village hall where presentations and gifts were given to thank Simon and Heather for all their efforts and pastoral care over the last six and half years. We wish them well in their new parish which is “St Mary’s” Goldington, Bedford. There will now be a time of interregnum where a process begins to recruit a new priest for the Benefice. Services will continue thanks to our retired priests and lay team but at a reduced level until the new person is in place.
