0Church Service Cancelled
In view of the rising numbers of COVID cases near to Aynho – Cherwell District being twice the national average today with 1048 cases per 100,000 – we have decided not to go ahead with the service at St Michael’s Church on Sunday 10th January at 10am. We are of course sad about this decision but it is better that we just keep an eye on what is happening around here whilst the numbers are quite so high. With so many of the senior members of the congregation having, or about to have, their first or second jabs in the vaccination centres there is enough necessary to-ing and fro-ing going on between Aynho and the outside world. Many of you anyway have taken your own decisions to stay away from church services for the moment all for very good reasons – one of which is allow time for the jab to be effective. St Michael’s Church will still be opened for private prayer on Sunday as well as mid-week (Tuesday and Thursdays) as normal from 10am to 3pm. If you come do wrap up because the heating will not be on! We will monitor the overall situation in the next fortnight and will let you know about Sunday 24th January for the communion service in good time. |
