Act of Remembrance only on Sunday 8th November

Now we are absolutely certain that there cannot be a Remembrance Sunday service in the Church on Sunday we can confirm there will be the usual Act of Remembrance at the War Memorials starting at 10.45am

It will be a short 15/20 minutes outside the Church, very similar/familiar to previous years,  and will include the laying of wreaths on behalf of the Village and the WI, the Roll Call of names of those from the village who died in the two World Wars – and a two minute silence as near to 11am as we can make it.  The Act will be led by the Rev Terry Richards.

We will follow all the familiar lockdown instructions – keeping distance, wearing face coverings, and with individuals and house bubbles giving every one the space that is needed.    There are no restrictions on numbers. Just so you are aware we will also have to try and keep a list of those who attend (but we will be doing this in the background).

No need to come early as the majority of attendees will be standing – but there will be seating for those that need it. We will start promptly at 10.45am

Please spread this information where you can – we will put notices up at the Church and on the community Facebook page.

The weather should be relatively kind according to the forecast – but do wrap up – and we are sorry hot chocolate and coffee cannot follow the end of our short service this year!
