Recorded Music Society: October Meeting

Hazel gave a moving presentation to honour Brian’s memory at the start of  our 19th music season on October 3rd.

The programme was varied and expressed Brian’s personality very accurately, starting with a song ‘Yes Sir That’s my Baby’.  Rossini’s ‘Overture to William Tell’ and Offenbach’s ‘Barcarolle’ clearly depicted Brian’s taste for the classical.  The pipes and drums played ‘Amazing Grace’, followed by John Barry’s ‘Dances with Wolves’.

Don Mclean dished out ‘American Pie’ with ‘Agnus Dei’ following.  Peggy Lee sang ‘The Folks who live on the Hill,’ with the beautiful ‘Moonlight Sonata’ as a fitting ending.        Brian was a stalwart of ARMS and we will remember him with fondness.
