Recorded Music Society: December Meeting

ARMS  (Aynho Recorded Music Society)

Douglas presented a most enjoyable programme for the final meeting in 2014. The variety was outstanding ranging from Handel (Arrival of the Queen of Sheba) to Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Memory” sung  by Leslie Garrett. Choral items by Bach and Vivaldi were followed by Mozart’s “Horn Concerto”. Further choral items by Stainer, Berthier and Tavener and Drake and a jazzy number performed by the “Happy Old Chaps” group.

After the interval consuming mince pies and a variety of drinks we were treated to the video of Act11 of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “HMS Pinafore”. Altogether a wonderful presentation, Very many thanks Douglas
