History Society: Time Team say no
Following months of discussion Channel 4 Time Team programme producers have decided against including Aynho and the tunnels in their next series. Below is the text of an email recently received from Jim Mower, Time Team Production Manager
I wanted to write to let you know where we are with Aynho. We’ve read through everything you’ve kindly sent through. Having now had a meeting with the series editor and the series producer regarding the sites for this series I presented Aynho and we gave the site due attention.
I’m sorry to say that we’ve decided not to pursue the project this year. Although I admire and support the work of the history group (and encourage you to continue!) I’m afraid that Aynho just doesn’t deliver the needs of the programme.
I’m sorry to disappoint you and would like to take the opportunity to thank you for all the work you’ve put in.
