Displaying trees in riotous colour
Images in red and gold
Jewelled ‘webs adorn the hedgerow
Shimmering in the morning sun
Harbingers of winter’s harshness
Heralding the frosts to come
Don’t despair the summer’s passing
Savour autumn’s bounteous gifts
Enjoy with rapt anticipation
Tinted leaves and swirling mists
