Beautiful summer Hollyhocks in Aynho
Perhaps it was the very wet winter or more likely the fantastically sunny warm weather of the past few weeks, but the hollyhocks around Aynho at the moment are stunning! From my own garden I can see several neighbouring gardens with what looks like naturalised plants of many different colours. They are truly beautiful and fantastic in colour, perhaps the best symbol of an English summer garden?
Being new to cottage gardening I found a few useful and interesting articles including this one from the Telegraph.
For next year’s bloom I shall encourage all my neighbours to take seeds and share – so we can all benefit from the vibrant and colourful display next year.
