On Saturday night I couldn’t believe how incredibly generous all the bottle donations had been for the Fete Tombola and yesterday it was just amazing how many of Aynho’s bakers and their assistants both in the WI and much further afield arrived with all the varied, delicious, spectacular cakes as Fete time approached! Some of you even responded to my pleading, cheeky cards to ask you to bake! I am sorry I can’t thank each of individually by letter, but I want to thank you all publicly– what an effort – double the number of cakes, brilliant comments from all the fete buyers, and you helped us raise a lot of money.
