Ayho Long Walk 10th May 2018

Fourteen walkers set off down Green Lane in glorious sunshine this morning. It was not too hot for walking but very bright and clear with lovely views. We crossed the stream and continued on the higher path towards Kings Sutton through a vast expanse of oil-seed rape. The paths were very well cleared across all the fields of rapeseed, and through the remaining non rape seed crop. We reached the old stone pits and obeyed the instructions to keep to the path before eventually coming out into Charlton Village. Through the village and down to the path that took us up through the camp eventually led us back to the pavilion where the usual delicious refreshments awaited.
